Type3 Wiki help
Basic formatting rules follow the Wikipedia standard, see their help pages. A brief guide is found below.
It says you don't need to be logged in to do any editing, but I think you do. You don't need to wait for a confirmation e-mail.
Pictures need to uploaded to this wiki first. Then use the format:
[[File:Example.jpg|thumb|alt=Alternative text|Caption text]]
Just type in a link to a non-existant page on a page that will link to the page being created. Save the edit, then click on the link and it will bring you to the editor for the new page.
A link follows this format:
[[link | optional text for link]]
A link to an internal wiki page just needs the name of the page (no http or www tags needed). Generally, a link is used the first time a reference is made to something that has its own page in the wiki. Later references on the page to that item do not need to be linked.
Use the format:
= major headline =
== minor headline ==
=== sub-minor headline ===
==== itty-bitty headline ====
Numbered lists use the format:
# listed item (1,2,3 etc)
## item in sublist (1.1, 1.2, etc)
Unnumbered lists (bullet points) use the format:
* bullet point
** indented bullet point
When you are logged in, there is a discussion page that is associated with each article (see the tabs at the top). This discussion page can be used to discuss content and format of what the user will see in the article page. Sign your discussion entry with four tildes (
~~~~) to automatically list your name and date of edit.
